SBC begins radio service

Alston, CA, Jul 5 – Radio broadcasting has officially begun in Sirocco with the Siroccan Broadcasting Corporation making its debut broadcast this morning. SBC National Radio began broadcasting at 11:25am NZST this morning, beginning with a test of Seeburg music and a rendition of Leroy Anderson’s Typewriter. Technical issues were encountered almost immediately with a lack of sound for over an hour, and when the sound issue was finally remedied, it was realised that songs were cutting short and repeating themselves. Seeburg radio station receives Siroccan donation

Rathlyn, HB, Jun 14 – The government has this afternoon donated a sum of money to an Internet radio station specialising in instrumental music. The popular Seeburg1000.com radio station, which specialises in instrumental music produced by the Seeburg Corporation in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, is a popular station in Sirocco, with its music adopted for a variety of purposes. Sirocco marks second anniversary, Anderson warns of micronational inactivity

Alston, NCD, Nov 4 – Sirocco has surpassed the longevity of the Glorious Dictatorial Republic of Andersonia by reaching its second birthday today. At midnight the national anthem was played, while later on in the morning a large breakfast was held in Alston this morning to mark the occasion. SBC, Sirocco Times join Micronational Press Council

Alston, NCD, Apr 13 – The Siroccan Broadcasting Corporation and the Sirocco Times have both joined the Micronational Press Council as a move of support for other micronational broadcasters and media outlets. The Council, “a self-regulatory body of micronational media outlets”, aims to organise broadcasters together and handle complaints, and it is known that both the Dranorian Broadcasters’ Guild and the A1 Broadcasting Commission had been trying to persuade Minister of Access Daniel Anderson to allow both the SBC and the Times to join for some time. FCA Gains Television and Radio Service

Premier Daniel Anderson today announced that the government is setting up experimental television and radio broadcasts by the Andersonian Broadcasting Service (ABS). No programs have yet been confirmed for the ABS Television Service or ABS Radio, but it has been confirmed Government broadcasts and other news will be broadcasted from here.
