Government confirms Olympic dates

Sirocco 2013

NO GAMES TODAY: The Sirocco 2013 Olympics will be held from February 7 to 27.

Alston, NCD, Jan 28 – The Siroccan Government has confirmed that Sirocco will host the seventh Intermicronational Olympic Games from February 7 to 27, providing a final answer for many concerned that progress with the Games had halted.

Earlier this evening it was confirmed on the MicroWiki Forums and Facebook’s MicroGroup that the seventh Intermicronational Olympic Games will be held for most of next month, ending a long run of speculation as to when the games would finally be held.

The Games will be predominantly hosted in Alston from February 7 to 19, with Havilland, Wellesley, taking over from the 20th to the 23rd. Rathlyn will see out the Games from the 24th to the 27th.

The Games were initially scheduled to finish on February 22, but it was decided a short time ago to extend this to the 27th to allow Rathlyn to take part in the event.

Work has now begun to organise the games in time for the opening ceremonies on February 7 in what will prove to be an exceptionally busy month for the country.
